Newfallen

This is an in-progress painting entitled "Newfallen." In my story universe that I write from, when an angel falls, it's wings and hair turn solid black. Here one can see it happening gradually, starting at the roots of his hair and feathers and creeping outward. I'm considering starting over on this in a larger size so I'll have more room to work on the details in his face and body.
